What happened

Between 26 and 29 July 1976, several witnesses noticed luminous and electrical phenomena at different times, and found them intriguing. One of them saw a flashing green ball move quickly across the sky, leaving a red trail behind it. On those same days, interference with television reception was reported, along with a fire in an electricity meter.

The gendarmerie investigated and collected several statements, each describing a different observation. GEIPAN concluded that the witnesses had seen various luminous phenomena. The case was classified C because the testimonies were not consistent with one another and lacked sufficient information.
