Sighting in Lège-Cap-Ferret, 1992

Gironde, Nouvelle-Aquitaine, France

Sighting in 1992 in Lège-Cap-Ferret (Gironde, France). GEIPAN could not reach a conclusion for lack of sufficient information (class C).

What happened

The witness reported in April 2008 an observation made during the summer of 1992. They could not remember the day or the month, so GEIPAN arbitrarily set the date at 1 July 1992 in order to file the case.

Around midnight, two people were at the place known as the Mirador, at Cap-Ferret. They saw two stacked triangles move past slowly, silently and at low altitude, with their tips lit by a white light. The phenomenon then went out abruptly.

The account describes a strange sighting, but it gives no precise date, which made any investigation impossible. The case is classified C: the data are insufficient because the date of the observation is not known precisely.
