What happened

At around 2:20 a.m., two gendarmes on patrol saw a red sphere about 80 cm across. It travelled at very high speed, making no noise, about fifteen metres above the ground. The sighting lasted only a very short time.

The accounts given by the two gendarmes agree with each other. The phenomenon could not be identified, and the GEIPAN classified the case as C, meaning there was insufficient data.
