Sighting in Louan-Villegruis-Fontaine, October 13, 2014

Seine-et-Marne, Île-de-France, France

Sighting on October 13, 2014 in Louan-Villegruis-Fontaine (Seine-et-Marne, France). GEIPAN could not reach a conclusion for lack of sufficient information (class C).

What happened

At around 6:10 a.m., a driver and their passenger noticed a white point of light in the sky. It moved along a path shaped like a comma. Both occupants of the car were surprised by what they saw. They saw no trail and heard no noise. The point of light then vanished all at once. Only one witness account was collected.

The GEIPAN investigation refers to a craft observed above the Nogent power plant, but the gendarmerie provided no description of it. Until information on that point becomes available, the lack of data does not allow any hypothesis to be favoured. The case is classified C: the phenomenon remains unidentifiable as it stands, as there is too little information to reach a sound opinion.
