What happened

Shortly after midnight, a witness saw two yellow-orange points of light go by. They crossed the sky from east to west at a steady speed, then vanished behind the urban skyline. Two other people were reported to have seen the phenomenon too, but no other testimony was collected during the investigation.

The GEIPAN classified the case as B (probably identified). Based on the witness's description, what they saw was most likely a pair of Thai lanterns drifting past.
