What happened

Around 11:30 pm, a family was stargazing from their garden when a bright phenomenon caught their attention. A glowing white ball came from the west, heading toward them and appearing to grow larger.

Its path then gradually shifted toward the North Star. As it did so, the sphere seemed to shrink before vanishing completely.

The investigation compared the sighting with a sky map drawn up for the stated time and place. The map showed that the family had watched the International Space Station pass overhead. The case was classified A, meaning it was identified.
