Sighting in Ruaudin, May 16, 2008

Sarthe, Pays de la Loire, France

Sighting on May 16, 2008 in Ruaudin (Sarthe, France). GEIPAN could not reach a conclusion for lack of sufficient information (class C).

What happened

At around 11 p.m., a witness saw a luminous ball move from left to right behind clouds. The description they gave was very brief, and the sighting had little that was strange about it.

GEIPAN asked the witness to complete a questionnaire and to file a statement with the gendarmerie, but they did not respond. The little information available fits many well-known phenomena, and none could be singled out. Because precise data were lacking, the case was classified C: there was not enough information for a serious study.
