Insufficient data

Sighting in Saint-Gilles, October 13, 1974

Gard, Occitanie, France

Sighting on October 13, 1974 in Saint-Gilles (Gard, France). GEIPAN could not reach a conclusion for lack of sufficient information (class C).

What happened

At 5:55 p.m., pupils at a secondary school told a school supervisor about an unusual phenomenon in the sky. The supervisor went outside and saw a silver-colored ball with two smaller balls beside it. The small ones seemed to be attached to the first by a kind of thread.

The witness went to tell their husband and lost sight of the whole thing in the meantime. The next day, they were told that the two small balls had gone back up into the larger one, which then moved off at high speed.

No other information was gathered about the phenomenon. Because the data were insufficient, GEIPAN classified the case as C and recorded it only as the observation of a ball in the sky.
