Sighting in Strasbourg, January 6, 2010

Bas-Rhin, Grand Est, France

Sighting on January 6, 2010 in Strasbourg (Bas-Rhin, France). GEIPAN could not reach a conclusion for lack of sufficient information (class C).

What happened

A witness contacted the GEIPAN by telephone to describe what they had seen at 8:40 p.m. from their car on the A4 motorway, with a passenger beside them. For a few seconds, both watched a stationary luminous phenomenon made up of three light yellow lights arranged in a triangle. The whole thing appeared to be about the size of an aircraft.

The GEIPAN followed up with the witness several times, but they did not provide enough information for an investigation to be carried out. Because of this lack of data, the case was classified C.
