Allier, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, France

What happened

At about 7:42 a.m., a witness first noticed a trail in the sky, which they took for the trail of a jet aircraft. They then spotted an orange, disc-shaped object that stayed motionless for 10 to 15 seconds. The object then suddenly moved off at very high speed, turned a brilliant white and disappeared.

No other witness account was collected for this phenomenon. GEIPAN classified the case as C, meaning there was insufficient data, and its conclusion refers to the observation of an object at high altitude.
