Sighting in Agen, April 8, 1993

Lot-et-Garonne, Nouvelle-Aquitaine, France

Sighting on April 8, 1993 in Agen (Lot-et-Garonne, France). GEIPAN identified the phenomenon with certainty: it was a light from the ground (searchlight, laser, vehicle…) (class A).

What happened

Around 11:45 p.m., a gendarmerie patrol was approached by several witnesses. They said they could see a large glow above their house. The phenomenon lasted for nearly an hour.

The investigation that followed clearly identified the source of the light as the laser cannon of a nearby nightclub. GEIPAN therefore classified the case as A, meaning fully identified.
