What happened

At around 5 a.m., three witnesses leaving a nightclub noticed a very bright point of light in the sky. They did not agree on its shape, which looked either round or triangular to them. It stayed motionless in the same spot in the sky. As daylight came, it gradually grew fainter until it vanished.

GEIPAN classified the case as B (probably identified): the investigation concluded that the witnesses most likely saw a very bright celestial body.
