France

Sighting on September 27, 1993 in Ota (France). GEIPAN could not reach a conclusion for lack of sufficient information (class C).

What happened

On the night of 27 to 28 September 1993, around midnight, a witness briefly saw an intense, elongated light. It crossed the sky at high speed and made no sound. About an hour earlier, another witness had also noticed a glow in the sky for a very short moment.

No further information could be gathered about the phenomenon. Because of this lack of data, the GEIPAN classified the case as C: it was the sighting of an elongated light moving at great speed, with too little information to draw any further conclusion.
