What happened

Shortly afterward, the witness noticed a white glow shaped like a half circle, motionless behind a screen of trees, in the direction in which the phenomenon had disappeared.

No trace was found at the site and no other witness account was reported. Because of the lack of information, GEIPAN classified the case as C (insufficient data): it was the observation of a luminous phenomenon passing through the sky.
