Côtes-d'Armor, Bretagne, France

Sighting on March 13, 1994 in Ploubalay (Côtes-d'Armor, France). GEIPAN could not reach a conclusion for lack of sufficient information (class C).

What happened

The witness reported the sighting to the GEIPAN in March 2009, more than fifteen years after it happened. It had lasted only a few seconds. Between 5:00 and 5:20 pm, the witness was on a road leading to Ploubalay when they saw an object cross the sky at very high speed, heading north on a slightly inclined path. The object was at high altitude and eventually vanished into the clouds.

The witness could give no precise information about the object's shape or size.

The case is classified C (insufficient data). The investigation established only that an object had moved across the sky. The time elapsed since the event and the lack of information make any investigation difficult, if not impossible.
