What happened

One evening, as the witness was closing their shutters, an object crossed the clear sky very quickly. It was oval and green, and the witness likened it to a bright leek surrounded by a red circle. The sighting was very brief and no sound was heard.

That same evening, many people in France and Switzerland saw a fast, bright and colourful phenomenon cross the night sky. A bolide was reported across a large south-eastern quarter of France and recorded at 21:59:47. The witness, for their part, placed the sighting at around 22:15.

The GEIPAN classified the case as A: the observation was very probably that bolide.
