Sighting in Talensac, December 1999

Ille-et-Vilaine, Bretagne, France

Sighting in December 1999 in Talensac (Ille-et-Vilaine, France). GEIPAN could not reach a conclusion for lack of sufficient information (class C).

What happened

The account was gathered in June 2014 and concerned an event from December 1999, whose exact day the witness could no longer recall. On a winter night, at about one in the morning, the witness was closing their gate when they noticed a large, pale white spiral moving without making any sound. Its presence frightened them.

No other witness to the phenomenon ever came forward. The investigation noted that this unusual sighting could suggest an exceptional weather phenomenon, but the story was old and lacked detail, and the precise date was unknown. Because of this lack of information, the GEIPAN could not analyse the case and classified it "C".
