Lot-et-Garonne, Nouvelle-Aquitaine, France

What happened

At around 1 a.m., a couple driving in their car noticed an egg-shaped luminous form in the sky. Beams of light came out from beneath it, and the two witnesses felt that it was following them.

The witnesses rejected this explanation, but the investigation found that their description strongly resembled the effect of a nightclub searchlight. The gendarmes at the local brigade had received many similar reports. The appearance of such devices varies with the weather conditions and the distance from which they are seen. The case was classified B, probably identified.
