What happened

At about 2:45 a.m., a witness sitting in their car noticed a cylindrical object with an aluminium-like colour. For roughly one minute, a bright orange light shone from the cylinder, which measured about one metre across. The witness heard no noise.

The investigation could not gather anything further, and no additional information was found to support the account. GEIPAN therefore classified the case as C, meaning there was not enough data to offer an explanation.
