Pyrénées-Orientales, Occitanie, France

What happened

Two witnesses reported an observation made at around 9 p.m. under a starry sky. The main witness was looking south when they noticed a large grey shape moving silently toward the north. Inside the shape, they made out a sparkling ball. The second witness confirmed seeing a large white circle that looked like smoke.

No other testimony was collected. The descriptions given by the two witnesses were too imprecise to put forward any hypothesis. GEIPAN therefore classified the case as C, owing to insufficient data.
