Sighting on October 17, 2009 in Lanvaudan (Morbihan, France). According to GEIPAN, it was most probably a sky lantern (class B).

What happened

At around 11:30 pm, a witness filmed about ten flying objects moving roughly 30 metres above the ground. The observation lasted fifteen minutes. Throughout this time, the objects travelled in a coordinated way and made no sound, heading toward the south-southwest.

No other witness account of the phenomenon was collected in the area. GEIPAN classed the case as B: the witness most likely saw a group of flying lanterns passing by.
