Sighting in Le Cambout, June 23, 1994

Côtes-d'Armor, Bretagne, France

Sighting on June 23, 1994 in Le Cambout (Côtes-d'Armor, France). GEIPAN could not reach a conclusion for lack of sufficient information (class C).

What happened

The witness reported this sighting in June 2009, some fifteen years after it happened, on a night in June 1994 between about 11 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. From a roof window, they saw a cluster of six lights above the forest for five to ten minutes. The lights were stationary at first, then began to rotate around an axis before vanishing. The witness heard no noise at any point during the observation.

The witness added that an EDF transformer on the power line crossing that part of the forest had to be replaced quickly after that night. No other testimony about the phenomenon was collected.

GEIPAN classified the case as C, meaning the available information is too limited to reach a conclusion. It was recorded as an observation of lights in the night sky.
